The India-South Africa T20I series will be the first international series in the last two years without bio-bubble restrictions

There will be no bio-bubble from India-SA series, confirms Jay Shah

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah has confirmed that the upcoming T20I series between India and South Africa will not have bio-bubble restrictions.

In an interview with the Times of India, Jay Shah said, "If I’m not wrong, the bio-bubble for IPL-2022 was the last. Players will be tested for the India-SA series (for Covid), but there will be no bio-bubble."

The cricketers have been playing in bio-bubble since the Covid-19 struck and this will be the first international series in the last two years without bio-bubble restrictions.

Notably, India will take on South Africa in a five-match T20I home series which will start on June 9.
