Women's ODI World Cup: Harmanpreet Kaur, Mithali Raj attain huge feat vs West Indies

Indian batter Harmanpreet Kaur silenced her critics with a stupendous performance as she smashed her 4th international century at the Seddon Park in their 3rd game of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup against the Windies women on Saturday. It was special for Kaur who last crossed the 100 mark in 2017. She now has the maximum number of tons by an Indian woman in the ODI World Cups.

While she collected 109 off 107, she also forged a record 184 run partnership with opener Smriti Mandhana who played a scintillating knock of 123 off 119 balls. Their partnership is India's best stand so far in the ODI world cups.

Despite a scary start with 3 wickets falling back to back, Mithali Raj's girls came back strongly after the New Zealand debacle in the 2nd WC game. The Women in Blue posted a 318 run target for West Indies, their highest in ODI world Cups and the highest total in this edition.

Raj also scripted her name in history as she has led most matches in the ICC Women's World Cup. Mithali who is leading India for the 24th time surpassed Australia's skipper Belinda Clarke who has led her team in 23 matches.
