Champions League: Real Madrid score 3 goals to stun Manchester City & reach the final

Crazy is the best way to describe the last 5 mins of the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi final between Real Madrid and Manchester City. After losing the 1st leg in Manchester 4-3, Real Madrid pushed hard at their home turf with an aim to take the match deep. But a goal from the visitors derailed their planning as Riyad Mahrez scored in the 73rd min of the 2nd half.

1-0 down and 5-3 down in the tie, it seemed impossible for the 13-time Champions to stage a comeback but there was drama at Santiago Bernabeu. A 5-min blitz from Real Madrid right at the end of the match changed everything. It started with Rodrygo opening the scoring for the home side in the 90th min followed by another strike a minute later as Real Madrid found themselves on a level playing field again.

In the extra time, Karim Benzema scored a penalty to win the match for Real Madrid in a dramatic fashion. A 3-1 win for Real Madrid at home meant that the tie was won by a narrow 6-5 margin as Manchester City's hopes of winning the Champions League ended. Real Madrid, gunning for their 14th title will take on Liverpool in the final in Paris on 26th May.
