Cristiano Ronaldo fined £50,000 by FA, gets a 2-match ban

Cristiano Ronaldo has been penalized by the Football Association and fined £50,000 along with a 2-match ban for knocking an Everton fan's phone to the ground after Manchester United's game at Goodison Park.

Ronaldo who has mutually decided to leave Manchester United with immediate effect has been charged with ‘improper and/or violent’ conduct by the FA for a breach of FA Rule E3.

"Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended for two matches, fined £50,000, and warned as to his future conduct for a breach of FA Rule E3. The forward admitted that his conduct after the final whistle of the Premier League game between Manchester United FC and Everton FC on Saturday 9 April 2022 was improper." the FA statement read.

"An independent Regulatory Commission found that his conduct was both improper and violent during a subsequent hearing, and imposed these sanctions." Fa further added.

The ban eventually means that if Ronaldo was to join another Premier League team, he would not be eligible to play his first two domestic games at the club.
