Cristiano Ronaldo retiring from international football? Here's what CR7 said in cryptic social media post

After suffering a shock defeat to Morocco, Portugal's greatest footballer Cristiano Ronaldo seemingly confirmed his international retirement in a cryptic social media post, stating 'the dream has ended'.

37-year-old Ronaldo left the field in tears after Portugal lost 1-0 to Morocco in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

And in his first reaction after the World Cup exit, the Portuguese star striker said that it was “time to take stock” without saying explicitly if he wanted to carry on playing for Portugal after two decades with the national team.

He further stated that though he won many international titles, winning a World Cup for Portugal was his biggest and most ambitious dream, one that didn't come true.

Ronaldo has been the talk of the town since his explosive interview with Piers Morgan which prematurely ended his second stint at Manchester United.
