Cristiano Ronaldo wants to keep playing for Portugal till Euro 2024

Cristiano Ronaldo has set his sights on reaching Euro 2024 and the Manchester United forward says that he has no plans to retire any time soon.

He aims to continue playing for his beloved Portugal even after the winter World Cup in Qatar this year.

Ronaldo seems to be in the twilight of his career and has had a shaky start to this season, mostly playing from the bench in the Premier League.

He only managed to get his first goal of the season in the team's last outing at Moldova’s Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League. But the 37-year-old put retirement rumours to rest by stating that he’s as ambitious as ever and feels like his journey is not over yet.

'You're going to have to put up with 'Cris' for a while longer,' said Ronaldo on Tuesday, after receiving a trophy at the Portuguese Football Federation's award ceremony in Lisbon.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner became the highest International goalscorer in September 2021 after breaking Iranian great Ali Daei's haul of 109 goals with a brace against the Republic of Ireland.

He will be competing in his tenth successive international tournament when the World Cup kicks off in Qatar in two months time.
