EPL Round-up: Manchester United, Liverpool win; Chelsea held by gritty Brentford

Manchester United produced their most convincing performance under manager Erik Ten Hag as the Red Devils defeated Tottenham 2-0 in the Premier League. While United made 19 shots in the first half alone, the deadlock was broken in the 47th minute by Fred. Bruno Fernandes later doubled it in the 69th minute. Before the celebrations broke, drama unfolded at the Old Trafford as unused substitute Ronaldo walked down the tunnel with 4 minutes of play remaining.

Darwin Nunez finally scored his first Anfield goal as Liverpool registered a narrow 1-0 win against West Ham. The Uruguayan footballer who joined the Reds in June netted the goal in the 22nd minute. He was close to a second goal but failed before Allison saved a penalty by Jarrod Bowen to help Liverpool move to the 7th spot in the EPL table with a 2nd consecutive win.

While Chelsea secured a goalless draw against a relentless Brentford to continue on their 7-match unbeaten streak under their new manager Graham Potter, Brighton's struggles continued.
The Seagulls had another winless evening under new boss Roberto de Zerbi as Nottingham forest restricted them to a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Newcastle maintained their unbeaten run as Miguel Almiron scored a goal in the 30th minute to beat Everton 1-0. Che Adams' early goal helped the sinking Southampton to climb out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.
