EPL Roundup: Trossard scores historic hat-trick as Brighton hold Liverpool; Chelsea, Everton win

Liverpool vs Brighton

It was a great beginning for Brighton's new manager, Roberto de Zerbi as Leandro Trossard scored a fiery hat-trick to frustrate Liverpool to their 4th draw of the season on Saturday.

The Belgian footballer scripted history by becoming the first visiting player to score a hat-trick at Anfield in EPL since October 2008. In fact, Brighton had raced a 2-0 lead in the first half, before Liverpool came back with 3 goals to put themselves in a winning position. But minutes before he was subbed off, Trossard struck again to ensure Brighton at least got a point for their prowess.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

Conor Gallagher came off the bench to score a stunning goal in the last minute to seal a 2-1 win against his former club Crystal Palace. Earlier, Aubameyang netted his first goal for the Blues in the 38th minute, equalising Odosonne Edouard's 7th-minute goal but the biggest talking point of the game was Thiago Silva, who could have been sent off in the first half but wasn't as VAR came under scrutiny yet again.

West Ham vs Wolves

Dominating West Ham pipped lacklusture Wolves with ease to earn a 2-0 win. While Scamacca scored the opener in the 29th minute, Jarrod Bowen doubled the lead in the 54th minute to give West Ham their first victory of the season at home.

Bournemouth vs Brentford

Bournemouth extended their unbeaten run to 4 games in the ongoing season with a stalemate against Thomas Frank's side on Saturday. The Cherries even though have remained unbeaten, they have failed to score goals in their last 3 games at home.

Southampton vs Everton

Everton came from behind to hand Southampton a 2-1 defeat on Saturday. Frank Lampard's side scored twice for the first time this season to register their 2nd win in a row. Conor Coady and Dwight McNeil turned the game with back-to-back goals in a frantic few minutes at the start of the second half.

Fulham vs Newcastle

Miguel Almiron scored a brace in Newcastle United's thumping 4-1 victory over 10-man Fulham at Craven Cottage. Callum Wilson opened the scoring in the 11th minute after Nathaniel Chalobah was sent off in the 8th minute. Later, Almiron and Longstaff piled more misery on the hosts to secure their first away win of the season.
