First it was the equaliser from Kaide Gordon which was followed by a strike from Fabinho. The penalty from the midfielder ensured that the Liverpool went to the half time break with a 2-1 lead. Roberto Firmino made the lead more comfortable stretching it to 3-1 followed by the final nail in the coffin by Fabinho who scored in the injury time to ensure Liverpool won 4-1.

Tottenham meanwhile had a similar story and conceded an early goal at home against Morecambe. The 33rd min strike remained the difference between the two sides till late in the 2nd half.
