The second semi-final encounter of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will feature the tournament's dark horses Morocco taking on the defending champions France at the Al-Bayt Stadium in Qatar, on Wednesday.

The Atlas Lions have been on a fairytale run so far and have got the better of some European heavyweights like Belgium, Spain, and Portugal on their way to the semis.

The Moroccan defence has been simply stupendous so far and are yet to concede a goal from any opposition player in the World Cup.

However, facing two of the top 3 goal-scorers in the tournament so far will most likely bring a change to the statistic as Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud have collectively scored 9 goals in the World Cup as of now.

Les Bleus are coming off a well-fought 2-1 victory against England in the quarter-finals while the Moroccans marvellously marshalled to a 1-0 win against Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in their last eight.

France team news

Didier Deschamps' men fought through their quarter-final tie without any injuries or suspensions and will most likely remain unchanged for the semis as well.

Meanwhile, Walid Cheddira will miss the semi-final as well after being sent off late in the quarter-final tie.
