Kylian Mbappe: PSG accept Al Hilal's €300m bid for France captain - Reports

In a significant turn of events in the Kylian Mbappe saga, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reportedly accepted a staggering €300 million offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal for the French football sensation.

However, despite the massive bid, it remains uncertain whether Mbappe will make the move to the Middle East.

Earlier, on Monday, Al Hilal made a record-breaking bid of €300 million for the services of the France captain. PSG have confirmed receiving the offer and granted Al Hilal permission to directly negotiate with Mbappe.

The 2018 World Cup winner is currently in a contract standoff with PSG after choosing not to exercise the option of a 12-month extension on his existing deal. Instead, he plans to leave the club as a free agent at the end of the upcoming season, with Real Madrid being widely speculated as his next destination.

In response to Mbappe's stance, PSG excluded him from the pre-season tour of Japan, making their intention clear to sell him unless he agrees to sign a new contract.

If the transfer goes through, Al Hilal's bid will make Kylian Mbappe the most expensive football player in history, surpassing the €222 million PSG paid for Neymar when they signed the Brazilian from Barcelona in 2017.
