Premier League: Manchester United suffers loss against Fulham, easy win for Arsenal

Arsenal made a statement in the Premier League title contest with a commanding victory against Newcastle. The Gunners easily won 4-1 thanks to goals from Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, and Jakub Kiwior in addition to an own goal from Sven Botman.

Before Bukayo Saka and Jakub Kiwior scored to seal the victory, Arsenal led 2-0 at the half thanks to an own goal by Sven Botman and an easy finish from Kai Havertz. Joe Willock entered the game and gave Newcastle a consolation goal.

The victory took Mikel Arteta's third-placed side to 58 points after 26 games, two behind leaders Liverpool and a point adrift of Manchester City, who earlier won 1-0 at Bournemouth.

Arsenal have scored 15 goals in their last three Premier League games and the win over Newcastle was the perfect tonic following their late 1-0 loss at Porto in a disappointing Champions League last-16 first-leg display in midweek.

Shocking loss for Manchester United

Alex Iwobi stunned Manchester United with a dramatic stoppage-time winner as Fulham dealt a blow to Erik ten Hag's side's top-four hopes with a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.

United had been in superb form in 2024, remaining unbeaten and winning their last five matches, while Rasmus Hojlund had scored seven goals in his last six games.
