      Aubameyang moves from Arsenal to Barcelona

      Barcelona signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a free transfer after being stripped of the captaincy at Arsenal for disciplinary reasons. he had 18 months left on his £300,000-a-week contract at Arsenal.

      Everton sign Dele Alli from Tottenham

      Everton completed the permanent signing of Dele Alli from Tottenham. The England midfielder joins on a two-and-a-half-year deal, with a fee somewhere around £30m. Interestingly, Frank Lampard was also appointed as Everton's manager on the same day.

      Rangers sign Aaron Ramsey

      Rangers announced the signing of Aaron Ramsey in one of Scottish football’s biggest deadline-day deals in recent years. The out-of-favour Juventus midfielder moved on loan for the rest of the season. Ramsey's contract with Juventus runs until the summer of 2023.

      Manchester City signs Julián Álvarez

      Manchester City signed River Plate forward Julián Álvarez on a deal until 2027, paying an initial £14m for the Argentina international. The 22-year-old will continue on loan at River Plate club until at least July. Álvarez has been with River since 2015 and has scored 36 goals in 96 first-team appearances.

      Brentford sign Christian Eriksen

      Christian Eriksen returned to the Premier League as Brentford completed his emotional signing on Monday. He will be there for the rest of the season as a free agent. Eriksen has not played since suffering a cardiac arrest in Denmark's opening match of the European Championship against Finland in June and has been training with his former club Ajax Amsterdam to build up his fitness.

      Liverpool fail to sign Fabio Carvalho

      Liverpool’s late push to sign Fabio Carvalho from Fulham ended in failure despite being willing to pay up to £8.4m for the highly-rated teenager. After Liverpool's opening offer of £5m was rejected, an agreement was finally reached but Liverpool ran out of time to conclude the transfer. Liverpool was prepared to hand a five-year contract to the 19-year-old Portugal-born winger.
