17-year-old Rico Lewis became the youngest player to score a goal on his Champions League debut as Manchester City pipped Sevilla 3-1 in the Group G match. Despite Rafa Mir finding a goal in the 31st minute, the Citizens came down heavily upon Jorge Sampaoli's side at the Etihad stadium. Apart from Lewis' 52nd-minute goal, Julian Alvarez and Riyad Mahrez too scored in the 73rd and 83rd minute to wrap their Group games on the top spot.

Premier League club Chelsea came from behind to spoil Dinamo Zagreb's outing with a convincing 2-1 win to finish their Group E campaign on a high. Though Bruno Petkovic of the Croatian club scored in the 7th minute, Sterling first levelled it 11 minutes later and debutant Denis Zakaria doubled the lead in the 30th minute.

It rained goals as Champions League defending champions Real Madrid thrashed Celtic 5-1 to qualify for the last 16 as Group winners. While Luka Modric and Rodrygo scored penalties in the early minutes, Marco Asensio, Vinicius Junior and Fedrico Valverde scored in the 2nd half of the game. Jota however brought back one in the 84th minute of the game as Celtic finished the group F games without any win.

Paris Saint Germain came trumps over Juventus 2-1 to finish Group H games in the heartbreaking 2nd spot. While Kylian Mbappe struck the opener and set the winner for Nuno Mendes in the 69th minute, Leonardo Bonucci could only equalise one for the Italian side who were already out of the last 16 contentions.
