Indian fans had their hearts in their mouths during the India vs Bangladesh ODI World Cup 2023 game on Thursday as Hardik Pandya had an injury scare.

The all-rounder injured his left ankle in his very first over and was carried off the field in pain. He had bowled just 3 balls.

The BCCI later updated that Hardik was taken for scans and his injury was being assessed.

According to Cricbuzz, he will not be available to bowl and field in the match against Bangladesh.

Virat Kohli chipped in for Hardik and completed his over. He gave away just 2 runs in the final 3 balls of that over.
