India vs New Zealand: Bizarre stoppage in Dharamshala as fog halts play during IND vs NZ World Cup clash

In an astonishing turn of events, the India vs New Zealand World Cup match in Dharamshala experienced an unusual weather interruption. Unlike the conventional culprits of rain or a waterlogged outfield, this time, it was an unexpected bout of fog that led to a temporary halt in the game.

The match had reached an intriguing point with India positioned at 100/2 in the 16th over. However, an unforeseen change in the weather altered the course of the game. The visibility on the field began to deteriorate rapidly due to the encroaching fog, prompting the umpires to stop play.

Initially, the umpires made an attempt to keep playing even as the mist started to shroud the entire stadium. However, the New Zealand players raised concerns about the deteriorating visibility, expressing their discomfort with the conditions. Following a deliberation involving the batters and the Kiwi players, the umpires made the unanimous call to suspend the match temporarily.

The players, however, returned after approximately a 10-11 minute delay once the visibility got better.
