Team India losing the 2019 World Cup semifinals against New Zealand was not just heartbreaking for the fans but was equally painful for the players.

The then India batting coach Sanjay Bangar revealed that it was a heartbreaking moment for all the players as India were playing excellent cricket.

'We won 7 matches in the league phase and to bow out like that was not good. Players cried like kids. MS Dhoni was crying like a child. Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant had tears in their eyes. Such stories remain in the dressing room,' he added.

Chasing just 240 to win in that game, 92/6. That's when Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja got together and brought the Men in Blue back into the contest with a half century each.

However, India failed to cross the finish line as MSD was run out with a handful of runs required for victory.

Dhoni walked off the field with tears in his eyes and it also happened to be his last international match.
