Muhammad Rizwan and Marco Jansen engage in heated exchange during PAK vs SA Cricket World Cup clash

During the Pakistan vs. South Africa clash, emotions ran high as wicketkeeper-batter Muhammad Rizwan and South African pacer Marco Jansen found themselves embroiled in a war of words.

The incident unfolded in the 7th over, right after Marco Jansen had taken the wicket of Imam-ul-Haq, leading to Rizwan's arrival at the crease.

Upon facing his first ball, Rizwan nearly offered a return catch to Jansen. The South African fast bowler leaped to his right, making a valiant attempt to grab the catch, but it slipped from his grasp.

The very next delivery saw Rizwan play an expansive shot, resulting in a leading edge that sailed to the left of the fielder at third man and crossed the boundary. Jansen wasted no time in expressing his thoughts to Rizwan, who was more than willing to respond to the verbal exchange. With his characteristic nonchalance, the Pakistani wicketkeeper suggested to the bowler to return to his fielding position.

The final delivery of the over, which Rizwan opted to leave, also witnessed Jansen sharing a few words, to which Rizwan responded with a smile.

Rizwan, who survived the Jansen over, was eventually dismissed for a score of 31 by Gerald Coetzee.
