During the Australia vs Pakistan World Cup match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, a video of a local policeman reportedly asking Pakistani fans to refrain from chanting 'Pakistan Zindabad' has gone viral, igniting controversy.

In the video shared by Pakistani influencer Momin Saqib, a Pakistani fan can be seen engaged in a heated discussion with the policeman. The fan questions why it's acceptable to chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' while objecting to 'Pakistan Zindabad' during a match involving the Pakistani team. He emphasizes that as a Pakistani supporting his team in India, it's only natural for him to express his support using this chant.

The video depicts the policeman instructing the fans not to chant 'Pakistan Zindabad.' The interaction only ends when the Pakistani fan encourages the cop to express his objection directly into his phone camera.

Although only a limited number of Pakistani fans were present in India for the ODI World Cup, the video has sparked controversy, with numerous Pakistani fans and journalists raising questions about such treatment.

While there's been backlash after the video went viral on social media, local police said they have been asked by higher authorities to not allow any fans to engage in any provocative acts, especially due to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
