India Vs England: Unstoppable Jasprit Bumrah continues to smash records

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is enjoying his stint as India Test captain. He has been making new records one after the other in the ongoing Test against England at Edgbaston.

Bumrah dismissed 3 English top-order batters in the first innings of the ongoing Test. With those 3 scalps, Bumrah took his wickets tally to 21 for the series and became the highest wicket-taker for India in a Test series in England.

The 28-year-old surpassed Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who had picked up 19 wickets in 2014. Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma are third and fourth on the list respectively with 18 wickets each.

Bumrah also shattered former Indian captain Kapil Dev's 41-year-old record to become the highest Indian wicket-taker after the first 30 Tests.

Bumrah now has 126 wickets in his first 30 Test matches as compared to Kapil's 124 wickets.

Earlier, Bumrah had scored 35 runs in an over to break Windies legend Brian Lara's world record of most runs in a single over in Test cricket.
