Following the news of Bishan Singh Bedi's death, wishes poured in from all corners of cricketing fraterning, recalling the legendary spin maestro and offering condolences to the bereaved family.

Tributes poured in from all walks of the cricketing fraternity following the news of former India Test captain and legendary spinner Bishan Singh Bedi's death.

Former and present cricketers offered their condolences to Bedi's family on social media while recalling his contributions to Indian cricket.

Gautam Gambhir wrote, 'Extremely saddened by the passing of Bishan Singh Bedi ji. His immense contribution to cricket will forever be remembered. May god give strength to his family and loved ones!'

The BCCI also paid tribute to Bedi stating that it mourns the legendary player's demise and offered thoughts and prayers to his family and fans during such tough times.

India's other legendary spin maestro Harbhajan Singh offered his condolences to actor Angad Bedi and the rest of the family.

Calling him one of India's best, Irfan Pathan said that Bedi's death was a loss to cricketing fraternity.

Mithali Raj, former captain of India, called Bedi the 'Sardar of Spin' saying that he will always be among the best bowlers to have represented India.

Meanwhile, current pace sensation Mohd Siraj took to his social media to offer his heartfelt condolences to Bedi's kin.

Bishan Singh Bedi played 67 Tests and 10 ODIs for India, forming a part of the famous Indian spin quartet of the 1960s and 1970s. |

Bedi is regarded as one of the best left-arm spinners to ever grace cricket.

He was 77.
