Ayhika and Sutirtha Mukherjee beat World No. 2 Chinese pair, bronze assured in Table Tennis | Asian Games

Indian sisters Ayhika and Sutirtha Mukherjee beat world no. 2 China's Meng Chen and Wang Yidi in four games to book a historic semifinal berth at the ongoing Asian Games 2023.

With this win, the pair has assured India of its first-ever medal in women's doubles in an international table tennis championship.

Ayhika and Sutirtha were cruising at a fine pace, claiming the first two games 11-5 before the reigning world champions took the third, also 11-5.

The duo bounced back to clinch the victory 11-9 in the final game.

Defeating China on their home turf is a tough job but the Mukherjee sisters made little work of their opponents.
