HS Prannoy scripted history for India as he propelled his nation to the first-ever Thomas Cup final after beating Denmark on a pulsating Friday evening in Bangkok Thailand. The Indian men stunned Denmark by 3-2 to make it to the first final in their 73-year-history of the prestigious team tournament.

Apart from Prannoy, World Championships silver medalist Srikanth Kidambi, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also came back with victories in the thrilling Thomas Cup semifinal tie against Denmark.

While Prannoy defeated the World no. 13 by 13-21, 21-9, 21-12 in the tightly contested decisive game, India's top-ranked doubles pairing of Rankireddy and Shetty won the first doubles match of the tie to make it 1-1 and Srikanth defeated All England Champion Anders Antonsen by 21-18, 12-21, 21-15.
