Neeraj Chopra - Diamond League Champion!

The Olympic Gold medalist became the first Indian to win the coveted Diamond League Finals title. His best finish previously came in the 2018 edition, when he had finished fourth.

Chopra, who began the night with a foul throw, took the top spot with his second - a throw of 88.44 metres.

While Neeraj didn't go past the 88.44m mark with his next four throws, it was enough for him to seal the title.

The 24-year-old ended the night ahead of Olympic silver medalist, Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlejch whose fourth throw of 86.94 metres saw him take the silver in Zurich as well. Julian Weber of Germany finished 3rd with a best throw of 83.73 metres.

Since the beginning of August last year, Neeraj Chopra has won the Olympic Gold, the World Championships silver, and now he has won the Diamond League title as well.
