India's top men's doubles team, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, advanced to the final of the Thailand Open badminton tournament with a commanding straight-game victory over Chinese Taipei's Lu Ming-Che and Tang Kai-Wei on Saturday.

The Asian Games gold medalists, Satwik and Chirag, demonstrated their prowess by wrapping up the semifinal match in just 35 minutes, securing a 21-11, 21-12 win. This impressive performance in the Super 500 tournament sets the stage for their final showdown on Sunday.

The world number three Indian duo, who are the top seeds in this tournament, will face the Chinese pair of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in the final. Chen and Liu earned their spot by defeating South Korea's Kim Gi Jung and Kim Sa Rang with a score of 21-19, 21-18 in the other semifinal match on Saturday.

In addition to the men's doubles, the fourth-seeded Indian women's doubles pair of Tanisha Carsto and Ashwini Ponnappa are also in action. They are set to compete against Thailand's top-seeded duo, Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai, in the semifinals later on Saturday.

Tanisha and Ashwini reached the semifinals after a thrilling quarterfinal match on Friday, where they edged out the South Korean team of Lee Yu Lim and Shen Seung Chan with scores of 21-15, 21-23, 21-19.
