In an unexpected encounter, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shared a delightful moment with tennis legend Novak Djokovic while traveling to Spain. The DMK leader took to social media to express his excitement about this serendipitous meeting, showcasing a photo with the 24-time Grand Slam champion.

"Surprise in the skies. Met tennis legend Novak Djokovic en route to Spain," Stalin wrote, capturing the essence of the chance meeting high above the clouds. The Chief Minister, who embarked on an eight-day journey to Spain to attract investments to Tamil Nadu, seemed elated by the unexpected interaction. His trip focuses on discussions with major industrial firms such as ROCA and Gestamp, as well as the investment group Invest in Spain, aiming to bring more economic opportunities back to his state.

On the other side, Novak Djokovic, a renowned figure in the tennis world, had just completed his commitments in the Australian Open and United Cup in Australia. The Serbian player, a 25-time Grand Slam champion, experienced a surprising defeat in the Australian Open men's singles semifinal in Melbourne, losing to Jannik Sinner. This loss brought an end to Djokovic's 33-match winning streak at the Australian Open, a streak that spanned over four years.

Djokovic has previously spoken about his deep affinity for India and its culture. He recently expressed a desire to revisit the country, intrigued by its rich history, culture, and spirituality. Djokovic's connection with India extends to friendships with prominent Indian figures such as Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. He revealed his regular text exchanges with Kohli, noting, "I've been in touch with Virat Kohli over texts for a few years, but we have never met in person."
