Phogat, who won Gold at Commonwealth Games thrice, also added that it is very discouraging when people assume they have the right to comment on a player and take decisions on their career about when to stop or end.

2018 Asian Games Gold medallist Phogat also questioned the fans and asked whether supporters from other countries also criticise their athletes in the same manner whenever they don't get a medal.

"A win always does not mean that an athlete has done anything extraordinary and a loss does not mean that the athlete has not tried during that game. Winning and losing is a part of every athlete's journey and athletes try hard each time", Vinesh wrote in her post.

After making India proud at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, wrestler Vinesh Phogat went on to become only the first Indian female athlete to win a Bronze medal twice at the World Championship in Belgrade.
