World Wrestling Championship: Vinesh Phogat loses 0-7 in qualifying round

The Indian fans got to witness a major upset in the ongoing World Wrestling Championships as three-time Commonwealth Champion Vinesh Phogat lost her qualification round by 7 points to nil in the Women's freestyle 53Kg category.

The 3-time CWG champion got beat by Mongolia’s Khulan Batkhuyag and seemed out of touch in her bout in Belgrade on Tuesday. Vinesh didn't come up with the goods and was losing 0-3 in the first period and eventually got pinned by her opponent in the latter stages of the game.

With the absence of reigning champion and Japanese sensation Akari Fujinami due to injury, Vinesh's exit from the World Wrestling Championship has put a big dent in Team India's medal hopes this year.
