Delhi Capitals break Kolkata Knight Riders' 3 match winning streak after the Rishabh Pant's team won their second match of the season by 44 runs. 

Delhi began an early charge as Khaleel Ahmed removed the opening duo cheaply. While got 8 on the board, VenkateshIyer could collect only 18 in 8 balls. The skipper Shreyas Iyer with the able support of Nitish Rana steadied the game thereafter, but they too lost wickets in quick succession after making a partnership of  69 run partnership. The team lost all their wickets after Kuldeep removed Shreyas Iyer. Andre Russell's late fight of 24 in 21 balls went in vain. Kuldeep Yadav starred with the balls as he got 4 wickets for Delhi.  

In the first innings, Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals posted a commanding 216 run target for Shreyas Iyer's high-flying Kolkata. The Delhi openers did most of the work as they built a 93-run stand for the first wicket. While Prithvi Shaw smashed a 51 in 29 balls before being removed by Varun Chakravarthy, Warner added 45-ball-61. Though Kolkata got a breakthrough towards the end, late cameos by Shardul Thakur (29 off11) and Axar Patel (22 off 14) helped them score a huge 215 run total. 

Earlier, Shreyas Iyer led Kolkata Knight Riders win the toss and sent the Rishabh Pant led-side to bowl first in the Match 19th of the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League at the Brabourne stadium on Sunday.
