IPL 2022, GT vs LSG HIGHLIGHTS: Rahul Tewatia's power-packed knock of 40 off 24, helped Hardik Pandya-led-Gujarat Titans to register their first-ever IPL win on Monday against Lucknow Super Giants. Tewatia along with Miller turned the game on its head after the duo lifted the team in the later overs. While Tewatia hit 5 fours and 2 sixes, Miller smashed 2 sixes and a 4 which changed the game.
Earlier, the KL Rahul-led side began the second innings on a high note as Gujarat Titans lost wickets at regular intervals. They first lost Shubhman Gill and Vijay Shankar courtesy of Dushmantha Chameera, followed by Hardik Pandya and Mathew Wade who added 33 of 28 and 30 off 29 respectively.
In the first innings, LSG who were sent in to bat first made a splendid comeback after they were 4 wickets down as Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni both scored a brilliant half century and set a 159 run target for Gujarat Titans.
Lucknow lost their set all-rounder Deepak Hooda after he scored a brilliant 41 ball 55 and saved a sinking KL Rahul-led side. Ayush Badoni too got out in the 19th over after scoring a 54 off 41. Both players posted 72 runs together in 5 overs. Before that, the KL Rahul-led side lost 4 wickets back to back. While Mohd Shami picked 3 for Gujarat Titans, sending back the magnificent opening duo of the Lucknow Super Giants and Manish Pandey, Varun Aaron got Elvin Lewis' wicket.
