SRH Vs KKR highlights, Hyderabad vs Kolkata Match 25: Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram’s effortless batting display along with the pacers' magnificent show formed the cornerstone of Sunrisers Hyderbad's comfortable seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL match here on Friday.
The SRH pace unit comprising the likes of T Natarajan (3/37), Umran Malik (2/27), Marco Jansen (1/26) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/37) restricted KKR for 175 for 8.

Tripathi, who smashed 71 off 37, and Aiden Markram (68 not out of 36) then produced hostile knocks to take SRH to their third successive win with 13 balls to spare For KKR, Nitish Rana scored 54 while Andre Russell was unbeaten on 49.
SRH now have three wins from five games while it was KKR's third loss in six games.
With the green track not aiding the spinners, Sunrisers' Tripathi took the KKR's spin-heavy bowling unit to the cleaners.
Playing against his previous franchise, Tripathi smashed Varun Chakravarthy for a four followed by two back-to-back sixes in the eighth over, that yielded 18 runs. He brought his maiden fifty this season off just 21 balls.
Tripathy found an able ally in Markram, who smashed six fours and four sixes and when the former was out he took the onus upon himself to take his side over the line.
Sunrisers Hyderabad pacers controlled the innings for a large part before Nitish Rana and Andre Russell lifted Kolkata Knight Riders to a 175 for 8 in match 24 at Brabourne Stadium.
The Knight Riders lost three top-order batters cheaply inside the powerplay overs but recovered to some extent to post a decent total, thanks to Rana and Russel’s knocks of 54 and 49 not out, respectively.
The pacers — Marco Jansen (1/26), T Natarajan (3/37), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/37) and Umran Malik (2/27) accounted for the bulk of the wickets.
Opting to field, South African Jansen used the bounce and swing on offer really well to draw first blood as he sent Aaron Finch (7), who is playing his first match of the season, back to the hut in the second over. Natarajan then bowled a sensational fifth over, snaring two wickets.
Natarajan first bowled a brilliant length ball, pitching just outside off to account for Venkatesh Iyer (6), who looked unsettled during his stay, with the flamboyant Sunil Narine (6) following his teammate a couple balls later as KKR slumped to 31 for 3.
Kane Williamson introduced spin but left-armer Jagadeesha Suchith (1/32) looked rusty and struggled with his line.
Young Malik then struck twin blows, snapping the wickets of Shreyas Iyer (28) in the 10th over and Sheldon Jackson (7) as Sunrisers bowlers continued striking at regular intervals.

Kane Williamson wins the toss and elects to bowl first

Here's what Simon Doull said in the pitch report
Looks like a magnificent surface. Lovely grass coverage on it, all that does is just give it a really nice pace. Good sound to it - nice and hard. Good pace, good bounce. Batters have made the most of scoring runs in the early stages at Brabourne Stadium. One side of the ground has boundary dimension of 63 metres while other side have 84 metres.
Washington plays the duel role of restricting the batters with his spin bowling and chipping in with some runs as a floater. He has taken four wickets and scored a half-century so far in the season.
But coach Tom Moody has made it clear that he won't be available for at least two matches and it will be interesting to see who replaces the all-rounder in the XI.
Hyderabad have the option of Shreyas Gopal and Jagadeesha Suchith in the spin department or they might give another chance to Abdul Samad, who looked ordinary in the first two matches.
After a subdued start to the tournament, SRH turned things around with back-to-back wins over Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, and Kane Williamson's team is now eying a hat-trick of victories.
However Washington, a vital cog in the SRH wheels, will be missing in action after he sustained a split webbing on his bowling hand while fielding against GT.
Kolkata Knight Riders' mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy is not worried about a rather quiet start to this IPL season and is banking on a new variation to become an improved bowler.
The 30-year-old leg-spinner was the highest wicket taker for KKR last season with 18 wickets from 17 matches and this season, he has got just four wickets from five games.
"It is bound to happen, people will have plans against me. Last year in the Indian leg, I had six to seven wickets in seven matches. Later on, I picked up more wickets, so you cannot predict how many wickets you are going to get," Chakravarthy said.
Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad had a disappointing start as they had lost their opening two matches but they bounced back perfectly to win the next two. In the previous two matches, Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson looked great and the opening pair was one of the reasons behind SRH’s two wins.
Abhishek scored 75 runs vs Chennai and 42 vs Gujarat. With Rahul Tripathi, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram, the batting line-up looks strong. Umran Malik has bowled the fastest delivery in IPL 2022 but he is conceding a lot of runs which is a concern for the team. Talking about the bowling unit, with T Natarajan, Aiden Markram, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Marco Jensen, the unit looks impressive. TAP TO WATCH KKR vs SRH PREVIEW
