    The stalemate over the GST dues between the Centre and the states continues as a meeting of the GST Council on Monday failed to reach a consensus. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that no consensus was arrived at on way to make up for GST shortfall of states after GST Council meeting. She said the Centre cannot borrow to make up for GST shortfall of states as it will lead to rise in borrowing cost.
