CM Biplab Deb's bizarre idea to stay in power in Tripura

Another bizarre remark from Tripura Chief Minister. Biplab Deb. The BJP leader believes that the his government would remain in power for another 30-35 years if 80% houses in the state hung Swami Vivekananda photo in their homes. He further asked the Mahila Morcha of the BJP to distribute pictures of Swami Vivekananda to every household in the State. The Chief Minister elaborated that this observation comes from his own experience from his village where people hung photos og Jyoti Basu, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong and others just next to the pictures of gods. He asked his people if they did this, the party will keep its ideologies and remain in power. In August, Deb delivered Swami Vivekananda's books to Covid-19 patients with an intent to keep then "mentally strong and motivated".
