As life slowly gets back to normal in Brazil, the nation breached the 4-million mark on Thursday with confirmed Covid-19 cases.

With 43,773 fresh cases, Brazil's tally toll now stands 4,41,638, as per the official Health ministry data. The country's death count increased by 834, pushing the total to 1,24,614.

The health ministry however indicated that the rise in infections has plateaued since mid-August.

The administration has now allowed crowds to gather, and reopened bars. Brazil which doubled the count of infections in two months, is the 2nd worst affected nation in the world after the United States.
