With a surge in Covid-19 cases, the upcoming festive season of October and November may not be the same for Indians anymore.

According to a survey of 25,000 people in 239 districts, conducted by social media platform LocalCircles, majority of Indians or 69% may avoid travelling in the festive months and would prefer to stay home.

Only 19% said they would be willing to travel between October to December, out of which majority would book closer to the date depending on the situation.

October-November usually sees people making elaborate travel plans on the occasion of Diwali, Dussehra, Durga Puja and Chhath festivals.
