Covid vaccine by early next year: Dr. Harsh Vardhan

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday said a vaccine against coronavirus can be expected to be available in India by early next year, adding that there could be vaccines from more than one source. He said that expert groups are formulating and devising strategies a plan on how to roll out the distribution of the vaccines in the country, Dr Harsha Vardhan said during a meeting of the Group of Ministers. Four coronavirus vaccines are currently in advanced stages of pre-clinical trial in the country. He had said on Sunday that considering the large population size of India, one vaccine or vaccine manufacturer will not be able to vaccinate the whole country.
