The chief minister while reviewing the functioning of Invest UP said, "By embracing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra of Reform, Perform, and Transform, Uttar Pradesh has emerged over the past eight years as the top investment destination in the country. This positive environment must be further enhanced".
Invest UP must function as a model investment promotion and facilitation agency, for which the engagement of sector specialists is essential, an official statement quoted Adityanath as saying.
"We must have industry specialists for every sector, who, through their experience and expertise, can communicate and coordinate effectively with global industries, bringing increased investment into the state," he added.
The chief minister noted that although an online front-end single-window system has been established and is benefiting entrepreneurs, investors still face challenges in obtaining approvals from various departments.
He pointed out that different authorities issue no-objection certificates (NOCs) based on the category of investment, and this system requires improvement.
"There should be a truly integrated single-window system," he said.
He directed that the 'Nivesh Mitra' platform be restructured to ensure that applications are not redirected to other departments.
"All departments should be integrated. Every application must be resolved within a set timeframe, and if not addressed on time, deemed approvals should be granted," he added.
Adityanath also pitched for the implementation of a Single Window Act, under which large investments would receive unified approvals from the Department of Industrial Development.
"Every investor is important to us. Their convenience and security are our responsibility," he noted.
He further said that new policies should be introduced in line with Uttar Pradesh's potential and the evolving global industrial landscape. The Department of Industrial Development has been asked to promptly prepare and present policies for Global Capacity Centers, footwear and leather, the service sector, fintech and financial services, and biotechnology.

The Uttar Pradesh government has made significant progress in wheat procurement, crossing the 1 lakh tonne mark in the first week of April, according to officials.
So far, 20,409 farmers have sold their wheat at 5,780 procurement centres across the state. Officials noted that registered farmers are allowed to sell up to 100 quintals of wheat without undergoing verification.
In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath&rsquo;s directive, these purchase centres remain operational even on holidays.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the All India Police Handball Cluster 2024&ndash;25 in Lucknow on Monday. Emphasizing the role of sports in daily life, he addressed the participants and dignitaries present at the event. In a separate address at the state-level conference for the 'One Nation, One Election' campaign, CM Yogi strongly advocated for the implementation of the policy. He criticized the current practice of frequent elections, stating, "Frequent elections in democracy put unnecessary pressure on the public, it creates political instability, hinders possibilities of development in the country and encourages corruption in public life."
He stressed the importance of consistent governance to ensure peace and progress. "Political stability is the first condition for peace, the first condition for security, and the first condition for development, and for that political stability, there should not be frequent elections," he asserted.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the economic impact of frequent elections. "Frequent elections impact the GDP and halt the growth rate. It acts as a barrier to ongoing development projects and reduces the appeal of elections among people. No party benefits from this, except the anti-democratic elements who want to create political instability," he said.
CM Yogi further emphasized how repeated electoral processes could weaken democratic engagement. "In a democracy, elections and people choosing a public representative of their choice are considered a democratic right. For this right, the proper functioning of democracy is essential. But when elections take place every six months, every year, the appeal for elections disappears," he remarked.
The Chief Minister continues to push for political and administrative reforms, while simultaneously steering efforts to boost agriculture and sports in the state.

Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, accompanied by former Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia, conducted an inspection of schools and sports grounds in various villages of Rupnagar district on Tuesday.
The villages visited included Chairian, Bahrampur, Chandpur, Dakala, Lohgarh Phidde, as well as the government primary school and sports ground in Bahrampur Chaklan.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sond announced that in an effort to promote a culture of sports and protect the youth from drug addiction, the Punjab Government will construct sports grounds in every village across the state.
He shared that approximately 13,000 villages will benefit from this initiative, with sports facilities tailored to local youth demand.
The grounds will include provisions for football, cricket, hockey, athletics, volleyball, handball, and other disciplines.
He highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government has earmarked a budget of ₹979 crore to engage youth in sports and fitness.
In addition to sports grounds, gyms will be established in villages to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
Sond emphasized the importance of engaging youth in sports to deter them from social evils.
He also mentioned that athletes representing Punjab at national and international levels are recognized with cash rewards and given government job reservations to secure their future. During the visit to the Government Primary School in Chaklan, Manish Sisodia noted the remarkable transformation the school has undergone over the past three years.
He recalled that the school previously had dilapidated infrastructure, lacking basic amenities such as benches, clean drinking water, and functioning toilets. Today, it boasts modern facilities including benches, a sports ground, toilets, high-tech laboratories, a library, and secure boundary walls.
Sisodia reiterated the Punjab Government&rsquo;s commitment to enhancing the quality of education through the &ldquo;Punjab Sikhiya Kranti&rdquo; initiative.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday highlighted the state&rsquo;s deep connection with Jain heritage and called upon people to adopt the teachings of Jainism in their daily lives.
"UP has been a sacred land of Jain Tirthankaras, where the tradition of spirituality and religion was carried forward," he said while addressing a grand event on the occasion of World Navkar Mahamantra Day at the Sangeet Natak Akademi in Gomti Nagar here.
"The state has a deep connection with Jain heritage. All of us should adopt the teachings of Jainism in our daily lives," he added.
"Lord Rishabhdev, the first Jain Tirthankara, was born in Ayodhya. Five Tirthankaras were born in Ayodhya, and another in Kashi," he said, underscoring the religious significance of the region.
The event was organised by the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) with a focus on promoting peace, energy, positivity, and global welfare through the chanting of the Navkar Mantra.
He also referred to an inspiring message delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing, in which the PM outlined nine resolutions to bring the Namokar Mantra into practical life.
"These resolutions are worth adopting by every individual," he said.
Extending greetings on the occasion of Lord Mahavir Jayanti, CM Yogi urged people to spread the message of non-violence and compassion taught by Jainism.
Describing the Navkar Mantra as a powerful spiritual tool, he said, "This mantra is a means of liberation from physical, divine, and spiritual sufferings. When one connects with the spirit of penance, self-purification, and the welfare of the world, one not only uplifts oneself but becomes an inspiration for others as well." He said that the lives of all 24 Jain Tirthankaras were dedicated to the welfare of humanity.
"Through their teachings and penance, they established a noble path of living, which remains relevant even today. Every Indian should draw inspiration from these ideals and incorporate them into their lives," he said.
Hailing the event as historic, CM Yogi said this was the first time World Navkar Mahamantra Day was celebrated simultaneously across the globe, establishing Jain values on an international platform. He expressed hope that this global initiative would inspire countless people to embrace peace and harmony.

In preparation for the upcoming Char Dham Yatra 2025, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed officials to ensure a safe, seamless, and well-coordinated pilgrimage.&nbsp;
The directives were issued during a key traffic management meeting held at the Secretariat, where CM Dhami emphasized the importance of finalizing all necessary arrangements at least a week before the Yatra commences.
The sacred journey will begin with the opening of the Yamunotri and Gangotri shrines on April 30, followed by Kedarnath on May 2 and Badrinath on May 4.
Highlighting the importance of better infrastructure and digital systems, CM Dhami stressed on the need for improved parking facilities in areas near hotels, dharamshalas, and homestays along the travel routes. He also advocated for smarter technology integration to manage the pilgrim flow and ensure real-time updates.
"The slot management system should be further improved for visiting the Dhams. The adequate arrangements of CCTV cameras should be made at sensitive places on the travel routes. Real-time monitoring of high-traffic areas should be done," he said.
Focusing on avoiding past issues, he asked the police and administration to operate more efficiently this year.
"Real-time information of places with jam situations should be shared on social media and other mediums. Traffic and weather information should be regularly updated on the social media handles of the police and administration. Arrangements should be made so that devotees can get information about parking places on the travel routes from Google Maps," CM Dhami said.
He urged devotees to register before undertaking the Yatra, citing the arrangements made to streamline the process &mdash; 60% online and 40% offline registrations. These steps, he added, are aimed at ensuring the safety and convenience of pilgrims.
"For well-organized travel operations, continuous coordination should be made with all the stakeholders associated with the travel routes and their suggestions should be taken seriously. Information about the preparations made by the government for the Char Dham Yatra should also be shared with the stakeholders. He directed the officials to strengthen the alternative routes for the Char Dham Yatra. Local people should also be contacted on a payment basis to develop temporary parking on the travel routes," the Chief Minister added.
To further aid pilgrims, CM Dhami instructed that police help desks be established along the route and that high-altitude and disaster-prone areas be monitored using drone cameras. He also ordered that necessary equipment be deployed in vulnerable areas.
"Crash barriers should be installed as per requirement on the travel routes. Intensive checking of vehicles should be carried out by the police and transport department and special attention should be paid to the fitness of vehicles. Adequate arrangements of signage should be made for various information on the travel routes," the CM directed.
Director General of Police (DGP) Deepam Seth elaborated on the security blueprint. He shared that approximately 48 lakh devotees safely undertook the Yatra last year and assured that an upgraded strategy has been put in place for 2025.
The deployment this year includes 50 police stations, 79 reporting posts, 38 temporary check-posts, and a total police force of 5,850. Three detailed traffic plans have been devised to manage vehicle pressure and prevent congestion. A dedicated Char Dham Control Room has been set up under the IG of Police (Garhwal Range), with SP Traffic Dehradun Lokjeet Singh in charge.
Furthermore, a Char Dham Cell will be operational at the Police Headquarters, headed by the IG of Crime and Law &amp; Order, to ensure continuous monitoring.
The travel route has been segmented into 15 super zones, 41 zones, and 137 sectors. The police have already identified 54 bottlenecks, 198 accident-prone areas, 49 black spots, and 66 landslide-prone locations to proactively manage any potential disruptions during the sacred journey.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday flagged off nine mobile science laboratories aimed at enhancing science education in government schools across four districts: Champawat, Almora, Dehradun, and Pauri.&nbsp;
The initiative was launched from the CM's camp office and is part of a broader push to make scientific learning more accessible and engaging for students in the state.
Sharing the development on social media, CM Dhami wrote, "This effort will prove to be a milestone in taking science to the masses and promoting 'innovation-based education'. Through these mobile science labs, scientific thinking and curiosity of students will be encouraged and they will also become a part of practical experience."
The mobile labs are designed to ignite curiosity and foster a hands-on learning experience for students, bringing laboratory facilities directly to schools, especially in rural and remote areas.
Professor Pant from the Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCAST) emphasized the importance of the project, stating that it aims to popularize science in the far-flung regions of the state. The program targets students from classes 6 to 12, enabling them to explore subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics through interactive experiments, demonstrations, and lab-based studies.
According to Professor Pant, the project is now entering its second phase, expanding its reach to nine more districts including Uttarkashi, Raina, Khera, Rudraprayag, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Ashram, Bageshwar, and Vastushastra.
In a separate announcement on Monday, CM Dhami highlighted the state government's continued commitment to education and welfare initiatives. He said the government is offering scholarships to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students from classes 1 to 12. Additionally, the state is operating 15 hostels, five residential schools, and three Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) free of cost for students from these communities.
"Free coaching and a monthly scholarship are also being provided to prepare for competitive examinations," the Chief Minister added.
Further addressing social welfare efforts, Dhami noted that children engaged in begging are being rescued and encouraged to attend school. The government is also focusing on equipping youth and adults with skill development training to promote self-employment opportunities.

On the directions of Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, the Health Department has issued a detailed precautionary measures to protect the people from the upcoming heatwave in Punjab.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a heatwave is declared in plain areas when the maximum temperature reaches 40&deg;C or more, or when there is a departure from the normal temperature by 4.5&deg;C to 6.4&deg;C.
This high temperature disrupts the body's temperature regulation system and can cause various heat-related illnesses.
Urging people to follow the advisory issued by the health department, Director Health and Family Welfare Dr. Hitinder Kaur said all the Civil Surgeons have been given strict instructions to ensure that all health facilities are fully equipped to manage patients suffering from heat related illnesses.
Further, required beds have been reserved from District Hospitals to CHC level and PHCs where 24*7 health services are available.
&ldquo;Refresher training and sensitization of Medical Officers and Specialists has been completed to ensure accurate diagnosis, as well as effective management of heat-related illnesses.&rdquo; She added.
Civil Surgeons have also been instructed to train and sensitize all paramedical Staff as well including ASHAs to ensure that advisories regarding heat wave reach up to the last mile in the community.
She advised that attention should be paid to local weather news through TV, radio, newspapers, etc.
People should plan their daily activities according to predictions in the severe heat wave conditions.
Dr Kaur emphasized that new born babies, children, pregnant women, elderly persons, labourers, obese persons, people with any kind of mental sickness and immuno compromised persons especially suffering from heart diseases or hypertension should follow the advisory in more stringent manner as they are in higher risk of suffering from the heatwave.

Following the rate cut, the key policy rate eased to 6 per cent providing relief to home, auto and corporate loan borrowers. In its last policy in February, RBI had trimmed repo rate by 25 basis points to 6.25 per cent. This rate came after previous rate reduction in May 2020.
The last revision of rates happened in February 2023 when the policy rate was hiked by 25 basis points to 6.5 per cent.

Uttar Pradesh Forest Minister Arun Kumar Saxena on Wednesday announced a proactive, month-long initiative aimed at safeguarding the state's forests and wildlife from an intensifying heatwave.
This campaign, directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, underscores the state's commitment to the welfare of its natural ecosystems amidst rising temperatures.
Speaking with ANI, Minister Saxena emphasized the multifaceted strategy, which includes regular patrols by top officials from Lucknow to prevent illegal activities such as forest cutting and animal poaching.
"We are ensuring the protection of our forests and animals," Saxena stated, outlining measures to monitor and control illegal practices.
A significant aspect of the campaign includes addressing water shortages faced by wildlife. Boreholes will be drilled to provide animals with necessary hydration, while food provisions will also be secured to bolster their survival during the heatwave.
Special arrangements are being made to support zoo animals through this challenging period. The initiative aligns with the guidelines set by the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA), focusing on the restoration of forest ecosystems and promoting biodiversity.
Concurrently, Etawah District Magistrate Avinash Rai revealed additional local measures to tackle the heatwave's effects, including coordinated efforts with municipalities and the Disaster Management Department.
These efforts will ensure adequate water supply, reservoir maintenance, and community safety. Rai highlighted the readiness of local hospitals to address heat-related health issues and advised the public to take necessary precautions.
This campaign comes as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts an exceptionally hot summer, warning of increased heatwave days from April to June 2025.
While El Nino conditions have been ruled out for the upcoming monsoon, the forecast urges heightened vigilance and preparedness across the region.

In a landmark decision, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) on Tuesday approved India's largest-ever fighter jet deal, sanctioning the purchase of 26 Rafale Marine combat aircraft for the Indian Navy.&nbsp;
According to official sources, the deal, worth over Rs 63,000 crore, will be executed under a government-to-government agreement with France. The contract includes 22 single-seater and four twin-seater Rafale Marine jets, along with a comprehensive package for fleet maintenance, logistical support, personnel training, and indigenous manufacturing components under offset obligations.
Deliveries of the Rafale M jets are expected to begin approximately five years after the deal is signed. These fighters will be deployed on INS Vikrant, India&rsquo;s first indigenous aircraft carrier, and will operate alongside the Navy&rsquo;s existing MiG-29K fleet.&nbsp;
The Indian Air Force (IAF) currently operates 36 Rafale jets at its Ambala and Hashimara bases, and this new deal is expected to further enhance the IAF&rsquo;s capabilities. This includes upgrades to its "buddy-buddy" aerial refuelling system, enabling around 10 IAF Rafale aircraft to refuel others mid-air and extend their operational range.
Defence establishment sources also indicated that the deal will likely include ground-based equipment and software upgrades for the IAF's existing Rafale fleet. The Navy, meanwhile, will need to install specialised systems on its aircraft carriers to accommodate the 4.5-generation Rafale jets. While the MiG-29Ks will continue to operate from INS Vikramaditya, the Rafale Marine induction is anticipated to provide a significant boost to naval airpower.
Looking to the future, the Indian Navy is also preparing for the induction of indigenous fifth-generation fighter jets being developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The planned twin-engine deck-based fighter aircraft will serve as the naval counterpart to the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) under development for the Indian Air Force, further strengthening India's self-reliance in defence technology.

Punjab Animal Husbandry Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian launched a statewide deworming drive on Tuesday, beginning in the Lambi constituency of Sri Muktsar Sahib district.
Khudian stated that the Punjab government has procured deworming medication for livestock at a cost of ₹7.78 crore, which will be distributed free of charge to farmers across the state.
He directed officials to complete the deworming drive within the week and shared that the Animal Husbandry Department has formed over 2,000 teams to deliver the medication directly to farmers. For those who miss the distribution, the medicine will be available free of cost at their nearest veterinary institute.
For the deworming of cows, buffaloes, and calves across Punjab, he said the dewormers are being distributed under the ASCAD scheme.
This is the second deworming campaign in the state, expected to positively impact milk production and thereby increase farmers' income. Last year&rsquo;s campaign received strong support from livestock owners, many of whom requested its continuation this year.
Rahul Bhandari, Principal Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Dairy Development, has instructed department officials to ensure timely delivery of dewormers to every household with livestock. This effort aims to ensure all animals in the state are dewormed, contributing to higher milk yields and stronger animal immunity.
Dr. G.S. Bedi, Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, noted that deworming animals prior to vaccination enhances their immunity and the effectiveness of vaccines. He urged all livestock owners to deworm their animals ahead of the upcoming foot-and-mouth disease vaccination campaign, scheduled to begin mid-month. Dewormers are available free of cost at all Civil Veterinary Hospitals and Civil Veterinary Dispensaries throughout Punjab.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday approved hike in the daily duty allowance of Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) personnel from Rs 395 to Rs 500.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna told reporters that the current daily allowance of Rs 395 per personnel will be increased by Rs 105, taking it to Rs 500 per day per person.
The revised allowance will come into effect from April 1, 2025.
Following the implementation of this proposal, PRD personnel will receive an increased monthly allowance of Rs 3,150, assuming 30 days of attendance, he said.
Khanna said the move is expected to benefit 34,092 PRD personnel across the state and is part of the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen auxiliary security forces and recognise their contribution to maintaining law and order.
The increase will entail an expenditure of Rs 75.87 crore.
PRD works for the preservation of public peace.

CHANDIGARH: Amidst the ongoing fight against organised crime launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Police&rsquo;s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has busted a Lawrance Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang with the arrest of the its two active operatives and recovered one .32 calibre pistol from their possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Tuesday.

Those arrested have been identified as Jashandeep Singh alias Jashan Sandhu, a resident of village 25ML in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan and Gursewak Singh, a resident of Sri Muktsar Sahib.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that accused Jashan Sandhu was wanted in a 2023-murder case took place in Ganganagar in Rajasthan and had been evading arrest by constantly changing locations across Georgia, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
"Recently, on the directions of his handlers accused Jashan came back to India and landed in Nepal from Dubai before entering India by road in an attempt to escape law enforcement,&rdquo; he said.
The DGP said that preliminary investigations revealed that the accused, Jashan played a crucial role in providing logistical support to the gang.
His interrogation has also led to the identification of overseas Hawala operators, travel agents, and the locations of fugitive gangsters hiding abroad, marking a significant step in dismantling these networks, he added.
Sharing operational details, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) AGTF Promod Ban said that acting swiftly on a specific input about Jashan entered India by road after landing in Nepal, special operation teams of AGTF under the supervision of AIG Gurmeet Chauhan and led by DSP Bikramjit Singh Brar along with teams worked on inputs and successfully traced Jashan along with his associate Gursewak, leading to their arrest from Mohali.
Police teams have recovered a .32 calibre pistol along with seven cartridges from their possession, he added.
AIG Gurmeet Chauhan said that preliminary investigations revealed that the accused Gursewak came in contact with Lawrance gang members through Jashan and was operating locally on their behalf.
"Their disclosures also revealed that Rohit Godara was planning to eliminate some prominent individuals in Punjab and New Delhi,&rdquo; he said, while adding that sensational crimes have been averted with their arrests.
The AIG said that further investigation is ongoing to trace the forward and backward linkages in this case.
A case FIR number 02 dated 07/04/2025 has been registered under sections 25 (6)(7) of the Arms Act at Police Station State Crime Punjab in SAS Nagar.
