Ex-Bihar CM's party to re-join NDA ahead of Bihar polls

Days after announcing its split from the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, former chief minister Jitan Ram Manji's Hindustani Awam Morcha has returned to the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. This crucial decision comes ahead of the state assembly elections in Bihar in October-November this year. He had walked out of the Grand Alliance on August 20 claiming that the other alliance members were not willing to form a committee to discuss seat sharing. Manjhi however told reporters on Wednesday that he hasn't held seat sharing discussion with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yet. Manjhi had left the NDA to join the opposition alliance in 2017 after Nitish Kumar's return to NDA.
