Madan Sharma, a former naval officer who was beaten up for sharing 'offensive caricatures' of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on social media, met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday. He demanded that the state government be dismissed. Speaking to the media, Sharma said the sections under which the accused were booked are weak.

They met at Raj Bhavan where the Governor assured Sharma of strict action in his case. Many BJP leaders including Rajnath Singh, has demanded strict action against the attack on teh officer.
