      1. Beer is one of the oldest beverages in the world. The drink possibly dates back to the early Neolithic era or about 9500 BC.
      2. There is a name to define the study of beer and its called Zythology. Zythologists analyse ingredients used to make beer and their effect on the brewing process. They also study different beer styles and history as well as beer pairings.
      3. The first professional brewers in the world were all women! In ancient Peru, breweries were operated by 'women of the elite' or women who belonged to the noble classes.
      4. Germany, the land of Oktoberfest, is also home to a beer pipeline. Bars in the Veltines-Arena are interconnected by a 5km-long tube of beer.
      5. As per a BMI research report from 2018, Indians drink less beer than the rest of Asia.
      6. Qatar has the most expensive beers in the world. An average price of US$11.26 or Rs. 835 will be charged to you per 330ml bottle.
      7. Conversely, you will the cheapest beer in South Africa. A 300ml bottle of beer will cost you US$1.68 or Rs. 124 on average.
