The train, after starting from Sri Vaishno Devi Katra at 9:20 pm, will halt at several other stations en route such as Udhampur, Jammu, Pathankot, Jalandhar, Ambala, Kurukshetra and Panipat before terminating at the New Delhi Railway Station at 9:30 am on Thursday.
"This train will have seven general, eight sleeper and three AC coaches," Upadhyay said.
He added, "If the number of passengers exceeds this train's capacity, we have a backup plan to run more such special trains at the earliest."

"This is highly shocking news. We didn&rsquo;t believe it at first. It distressed me deeply&mdash;a tragic development," Kumar told a vernacular news channel, adding that he was forced to accept the news after seeing Mouli&rsquo;s photograph on a trusted news platform.
According to Kumar, Mouli regularly spent about two hours a day at the SBI head office in Vizag, attending to matters related to the employees&rsquo; association.
"During apartment meetings, he took a keen interest in resolving issues. He was elected vice-president of our apartment association, and I serve as the secretary," he said.
Kumar also fondly recalled crossing paths with Mouli during morning and evening walks, often engaging in friendly conversations.
He remembered that he was out of town when Mouli left for Kashmir and recalled Mouli mentioning that he had just sent his daughter back to the US.
Though neighbours were expecting Mouli to return today or tomorrow, Kumar said the tragic news has left them shattered.
Mouli, originally from Srikakulam, had settled in Visakhapatnam due to his banking career. Both his daughters are based in the US.
His body is expected to arrive in Visakhapatnam around 10 pm on an Air India flight via Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is expected to personally receive the body and pay his respects.
Meanwhile, the second Telugu victim of the attack has been identified as S Madhusudan, a software engineer from Bengaluru.
Madhusudan, who was settled in Bengaluru, had gone on a holiday to Jammu and Kashmir with his wife and two children. He was originally from Kavali in the Nellore district.
His body is scheduled to arrive in Chennai around 10 pm and will then be transported to Nellore by ambulance.

Around 25 people have asked them to cancel their bookings for the Union Territory, said Gaurav Rathi, owner of Swan Travellers, a company located in Shankar Market, Outer Circle, Connaught Place.
He added that most of the tourists had planned to visit Kashmir next month and are now requesting cancellations.
The attack took place around 3 pm on Tuesday, when terrorists descended from the mountains in Pahalgam's Baisaran valley and opened fire on tourists. The area, often referred to as "mini Switzerland" for its lush green meadows, is a popular tourist destination.
At least 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed in the ghastly attack.
Travel agencies in Delhi reported that nearly 90 per cent bookings for Kashmir have been cancelled, while some tourists are negotiating to shift their plans to alternative destinations.
"We had a few bookings from families. From bus and flight tickets to hotels -- everything was booked in advance. But the moment the news of the terror attack broke, we started receiving calls for cancellations," Dev, the owner of Kusha Travels, told PTI.
Popular tourist spots like Gulmarg, Hajan Valley and the Tulip Gardens were among the most-booked destinations.
"We had more than 20 bookings for Kashmir for this month and next month, but almost all of those have been cancelled indefinitely," said Kartik Verma, a travel agent from Good Guide Tours and Travels.
"People are asking for refunds. They are saying they cannot risk taking their loved ones to a place where there is a chance that they might not return," he added.
Since some bookings, especially for flights and hotels, are non-refundable, it is creating a real mess for the tour agencies, Verma said, adding that during this time of the year, Kashmir is among the most sought-after destinations for families.
Another travel agency, Swastik Travels, said Kashmir is not just the first-choice destination for Delhiites, but also very popular among the tourists visiting Delhi, many of whom plan onward trips to the valley.
"It is not just Delhi residents cancelling their plans -- tourists already in the capital are also calling off their Kashmir trips, even though hotel tariffs are at a peak this summer. People are cancelling regardless of the cost," said the owner of Swastik Travels.
"Not just Kashmir, people are now scared to even visit Jammu. We had bookings for seven families headed to Katra for the Vaishno Devi shrine and all of those have been cancelled after the horrific attack," he added.
Another travel agency, AJ Tours and Travels, said they have been instructed to stop taking further bookings for Jammu and Kashmir.
"We have been directed by the Travel Association of Srinagar to halt all transportation and bookings. So we are not accepting any new bookings for Jammu and Kashmir until further notice," the agency said.
The Pahalgam attack is the deadliest in the valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike.
Among the dead were two foreigners and two local residents, according to a senior official who declined to share more details.

He said that in view of the terror attack in Pahalgam, they do not wish to continue with their tour, and requested the government to arrange for their return home.
Nilesh Jain's brother Arun Jain, who is a journalist in Buldhana, said his two sons were accompanying his brother, the latter's wife and their daughter on the Jammu and Kashmir tour.

Addressing the nation from an event in New Delhi, Rajnath Singh firmly stated, "We will not only reach those who directly executed this heinous incident but also those hidden figures who conspired from behind the scenes to inflict such malevolent acts on Indian soil. We stand united against terror, and India maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards such acts. We will take all necessary and appropriate measures."
His comments followed a high-level security meeting he chaired in the wake of the attack. The meeting, which spanned almost two and a half hours, included National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, along with the heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Rajnath Singh instructed the armed forces to strengthen their combat readiness and intensify anti-terror operations in the region.

Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, the head of the All India Imam Organisation, said the imams of more than 5.5 lakh mosques in the country will give a strong message against terrorism, along with praying for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, during the Friday prayers this week.
After a meeting with the officials of his organisation and representatives of many other religions, Ilyasi said killing innocent people on the basis of religion is not only against Islam, but against humanity.
"Prayers will be offered at mosques for the innocent people who have been killed in Pahalgam and their families. During the Friday prayers, the imam will give a strong message against terrorism during his khutba (religious sermon)," he said.
"Our demand from the government is that no terrorist should be allowed to be buried on the soil of India," Ilyasi added.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Arshad Madani strongly condemned the cowardly terror attack in Pahalgam.
He expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with the victims' families and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured, a statement issued by the Jamiat said.
Madani said those who kill innocent people are not humans but "beasts".
"There is no room for terrorism in Islam. Terrorism is a cancer that contradicts Islam's policy of promoting peace. It is essential for every believer to raise their voice against it," he said.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind considers criminal acts, especially those based on religion, to be a cause of destruction for the country and its peace and security, Madani said.
While this heinous act by terrorists is causing great concern, at the same time, the common people of Kashmir are also expressing their hatred and disapproval of this terrorist act, he noted.
"The condemnation of such acts from the mosques indicates that the common people of Kashmir desire to promote peace and harmony in the region. It shows that the spirit of brotherhood, compassion and unity is strong and alive in their hearts irrespective of their religions," the Jamiat chief said.
This also indicates that the government will have the full support of the Kashmiri people in maintaining law and order, Madani added.
He asserted that it is wrong to give this tragedy a religious colour.
"Among the deceased was not only a Muslim, but according to the reports coming from there, during the attacks, local people risked their own lives to save many tourists and took the injured to the hospital. After the attack, no official assistance arrived for a while and there were no vehicles available to transport the injured. In such a situation, local residents came out of their homes and saved the lives of many people," he said.
"In doing so, they set an example of humanity. And while doing so, they did not ask anyone about their religion. The common people of Kashmir are deeply shocked and angry over this tragedy. They have expressed their feelings by holding torch marches at various places," he said.
This is a sign that the common people of Kashmir desire peace, unity and development in the region, and do not support any form of extremism, Madani said.
"Therefore, the media should avoid one-sided and biased reporting. This is not the time to fuel hatred, but rather a moment to come together to heal the wounds ... and to promote unity, love and brotherhood," he said.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) president Syed Sadatullah Husaini also strongly condemned the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam.
In a statement, the Jamaat president expressed deep sorrow and outrage at the tragic loss of lives and called for immediate justice.
"We strongly condemn the deadly terror attack that took place in Pahalgam, south Kashmir. The loss of innocent lives, including foreign tourists, is deeply saddening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their grieving families. There can be no justification for such a barbaric act," he said.
It is completely inhuman and deserves absolute and unequivocal condemnation, Husaini said, asserting that those responsible must be brought to justice and given the harshest punishment.
The JIH chief stressed that no cause -- political, ideological or otherwise -- can ever justify such barbaric violence.
"This was an inhuman act that defies every moral and ethical code," he said.
He urged state and central authorities to take decisive and transparent steps to ensure justice for the victims, bolster security measures and safeguard vulnerable communities.
He also called on the civil society, faith leaders and the media to act responsibly and refrain from narratives that may further inflame tensions or target innocent groups.

"The entire family's return to the State is being arranged on priority and the Government of Assam is in touch with the Govt of India to bring the family back to Assam at the earliest," it added.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the person is a faculty member of Assam University in Silchar and he was in Kashmir on a family holiday.
"My office is in touch with him. We will ensure his safe return to Assam soon," he told reporters.
On Corporal Tage Hailyang of the Indian Air Force, an Arunachal Pradesh resident who lost his life in the attack, Sarma said his mortal remains will reach Guwahati around 11:30 pm on Wednesday.
"We will send his mortal remains to his native place in Arunachal Pradesh," he added.
The Chief Minister further said that the images of coffins are heartbreaking and have shaken the nation's conscience.
"The people of Assam join Adarniya @AmitShah ji in offering our prayers for the departed. This nefarious attack will be avenged and the perpetrators will not be spared... India will never forget and never forgive!" he said in a series of posts.
