Facebook executive Ankhi Das, whose name came up in a recent controversy over alleged bias by the social networking giant in dealing with hate speeches, has resigned. A statement released Tuesday evening by Facebook India's Managing Director, Ajith Mohan said Ankhi has decided to step down from her role to pursue her interest in public service. In his statement Mohan said Ankhi made "enormous contributions" to Facebook's growth in her nine years with the company. Her resignation comes weeks after both the company and she faced questions - both internally from employees and from the Indian government and Opposition- over how political content is regulated on the massively popular social media platform.
