Hydrating summer drinks to beat the heat

Want more than a glass of water to quench your thirst? Try these easy DIY fun drinks to stay cool and hydrated all summer long.

1. Hibiscus Iced Tea

The exotic drink provides the cool-down refreshing properties of water or even lemonade. It’s a healthier alternative to the refined sugar and artificial sweeteners in many iced teas and sodas. All you need is hibiscus tea bags, honey and water to create this magical concoction.

2. Cucumber Lemonade

Lemonade is a classic summer drink that you cannot go wrong with. Crisp cucumber, sour lemon juice, and sweet honey join up to provide you with one healthy trio of flavors. The fresh-squeezed lemon juice in this yummy beverage offers powerful detoxifying properties and flushes out toxins from the body.

3. Lemon Ginger Sparkling Water

Lemon and ginger may sound like an unusual combination but when added to sparkling water, it turns out to be like Ginger Ale with an extra twist of mint leaves. This refreshing sparkling water is just what you need on a warm day.

4. Strawberry Basil Water

Change up your daily water regime with fun and healthy strawberry basil water. This drink is perfect to take on the go or when you are simply relaxing.

Combine strawberries, basil and lemon with water in a large pitcher. Before serving, refrigerate the drink for at least 3 hours.

5. Fruit Infused Water

As the name suggests, add slices of your favorite fruit to water to create a refreshing drink. The fruits will add all the healthy goodness your body needs and water will of course keep you hydrated. How fresh!

One sip of these relaxing drinks will help you tackle lazy summer afternoons and potential dehydration.
