J&K separatist leader Ali Shah Geelani resigns from Hurriyat

Jammu and Kashmir hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Monday resigned from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference. In an audio message, Geelani made the announcement regarding his resignation and added that after "considering the present circumstances", he is distancing himself from the Hurriyat Conference. Geelani has written a detailed letter to members of the organisation regarding the decision.
