      For the second straight day, Maharashtra which is the worst hit state in India, recorded over 20,000 Covid-19 infections on Sunday. Health officials said the Central state, which has over 9 lakh cases so far, recorded the highest single-day spike of 23350 cases on Sunday, taking the state's Covid-19 tally to 907212. The death toll in the state reached 26604 after 328 fresh fatalities were reported in the day. The number of discharged patients in the state stands at 644400, while there are 235857 active patients.
