Migrant redux before Delhi Covid curfew, CM's plea goes unheard

Thousands of migrant workers gathered at bus stands and railway stations in national capital hours ahead of the scheduled six-day curfew.

This after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a week-long lockdown and appealed to them with folded hands not to leave Delhi while sounding a word of assurance— “Main hoon na”.

The assurance also came from Delhi police chief, but reports said hundreds of migrants flocked to bus and railway terminals on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Northern Railways stopped sale of platform ticket at all stations in Delhi division to avoid a rush of people at the stations.
