No ban on recruitment: Centre clarifies after circular on new jobs

A day after Centre reportedly issued an order banning creation of new jobs in central ministries, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman issued a clarification on Saturday saying there is no restriction on filing up posts. The finance ministry has now issued a new circular, stating that the regular recruitment process through SSC, UPSC and other forums will continue without any restriction. Sitharaman said that the earlier circular deals with internal procedure for creation of jobs and it does not affect recruitment in any way.
