The Supreme Court has dismissed the plea filed by the 6 opposition ruled states seeking a review of its earlier order giving a go-ahead for NEET and JEE exams to be be conducted amid a pandemic. Justices Ashok Bhushan, BR Gavai and Krishna Murari after considering the plea in their chambers said that the review plea had no merit and no case could be made out for reconsideration of their earlier order. Maharashtra, Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh had argued in their plea that 'grave and irreparable harm and injury would befall on the student community' if the exams are held. The plea sought postponement of the exams and said that SC order fails to secure 'right of life' of students.
