Over 7500 passengers availed metro services in first hours: DMRC

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Monday resumed services along the Yellow Line bringing after five months of staying shut, bringing great relief to thousands of commuters. DMRC issued a statement stating that the operations in the first four hours from 7 AM to 11 AM were smooth with approximately 7500 passengers availing services.

In an attempt to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19, the DMRC has made widespread changes to air conditioning and ventilation systems at underground stations and inside coaches. Authorities have decided to increase the rate at which fresh air is pumped into train coaches and have also installed open ventilation vents at underground stations.
