Oxford vaccine in phase 3 trials in US: Trump

US President Donald Trump on Monday announced that AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine that is being developed by the researchers at Oxford University has reached phase 3 clinical trials in the US. He added that the vaccine is very close to being finalised for approval. He also claimed that the process could have taken years but his administration has done it in a matter of months. The phase 3 trial is being implemented as part of Operation Warp Speed in the US, which aims to deliver 300 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine by January 2021. The AstraZeneca shot is one of the leaders in the race for vaccine. Others that have vaccines in phase 3 trials include Moderna and Pfizer
